Just Another Vintage Addict

A pleasant disease really, but a pathology nonetheless. The primary symptom is a burning compulsion to find and accumulate old things. When a "new" object of desire is spotted, the pounce is swift and efficient! With item(s) safely in hand, dopamine is released in the brain and happiness results. As the disease progresses, the happy sufferer finds less and less room to display and or store accumulated treasures. At this juncture, an Etsy shop is the treatment of choice. Prognosis is poor to guarded as the need to treasure hunt persists. This condition can be highly contagious! Morbidity is high and mortality low. One can only hope the latter comes "dropping while vintage shopping".

I was symptomatic early on.
My youthful obsession was with postage stamps and postcards and letters. I haven't healed from that yet.
Now it is everything from soup to nuts but with a strong emphasis on home decor, collectibles and dishes, lots of dishes! No cure for me.
